Hoffman, Alma L. (17 JUN 1936)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the Zion Lutheran Church at Stetsonville last Wednesday, June 17, 1936, when Miss Alma L. Hoffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hoffman, Holway, became the bride of Alfred G. Hatlested, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hatlested of Holway. The ceremony was performed at 2 o’clock by the Rev. O.H. Krause.

The bride wore a white satin floor length gown, a trailing cap style veil and white accessories, and carried a shower bouquet of roses, carnations and baby’s breath. Her bridesmaid, Miss Edna Hatlested, sister of the groom, wore a floor length frock of pink organdy and carried a bouquet of roses and snapdragons. The groom was attended by the bride’s brother, Adolph Hoffman.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents with a buffet luncheon served to twenty-five guests. Immediate relatives and friends attended the ceremony and reception. The home was tastily decorated in pink and white to match the gowns of the bride and her maid.

The newlyweds will be at home immediately to their many friends at the groom’s home in Holway, where he teaches school. A wedding trip will be taken later in the year. Their many friends join us in wishing them many years of happiness and prosperity.
